Hauppauge USB-Live

We routinely use Hauppauge products, namely the USB-Live and USB-Live2 as video capture devices.  A common setup for our classrooms includes a CCTV camera (BNC output with composite video converter) linked to the USB-Live device for video, and a PC microphone plugged directly into the sound card for audio capture.  We’ve had no issues with dropped video, and if the video feed is lost (due to a pulled cable), the recording software resumes recording video with no lag.  As far as the Hauppauge products, we can’t see any remarkable video quality difference between the USB-Live and the second generation device.

Didn't work for us (USB Live 2) for the same reasons that none of the others do: https://helpdesk.panopto.com/entries/20649671-problems-with-all-usb-video-capture-devices-tested-to-date-pal
